CBS faltered when they taped CBS This Morning live before an audience during the 1995-96 season. It proved to be unpopular.

Harry Smith returned to mornings, but they are now called "The Early Show."

Anybody remember when CBS This Morning took over the Ed Sullivan Theater for a week in 1995 while David Letterman was over in London?

Yea, I remember the eye bug resembling the sundial back at that time. I thought the audience was lame too because why would a morning news program have an audience - but its just as bad now, only difference its outside now with police detail.

Harry and Paula were my favorite morning show. I haven't really liked them as much in their careers since. I had forgotten about that awful live audience, and those huge screens! And Jane Robelot. Where is she now?
