When it comes to Jor-El on SV, I think ya have to look at it in two versions. The AI Jerk-El in the fortress is emotionless and is following a directive to put Clark through trials to prepare him for his destiny. The clone that died in Clark's arms and told him he was proud of him was more the real Jor-El than the one in the fortress will ever be. I think Clark, despite being disowned by his FortressFather, continues to wear the shield to honor the memory of the real Jor-El who died on Krypton.
