  • what are the cymbals called at 1.46?

  • They are a Sabian Signature Series cymbal call a "Max Stax" designed by Mike Portnoy... It comes in 3 sizes:

High set: 8" Max Stax China Kang, 8" Max Stax Splash

Mid set: 10" Max Stax China Kang, 10" Max Stax Splash

Low set: 12" Max Stax China Kang, 14" Max Stax Crash

  • i totally disagree, its dumb when people try to say that sabians are zildjians, bullcrap!! sabian is way better cuz they do things that other companies dont do. i guarantee you that more drummers leave other companies and come to sabian because of their open mind to different sounds.

  • @VitRadek It's all good! We all can't agree on everything. :)

  • @browser293 They're all good, but each is different. I think Sabian has it's own sound, which is not the same as Zildjian's... You could say that every cymbal made by a turkish manufacturer is just a Zildjian with different logo on it (lots of turkish companies have origins in zildjian, actually), but they're really not.

  • @browser293 I'm sorry, but I disagree. (I don't use Sabian, I use Turkish)... Every turkish cymbal maker uses the basically same turkish recipe for making cymbals. By that logic every cymbal maker (except UFIP, Paiste etc.) would be the same cymbal. But there's a huge difference in sound, even Turkish companies... I personally could compare cymbals from Anatolian, Turkish and Murat Diril, and each one of them has absolutely different qualities.

  • @VitRadek The only people who have trouble accepting these cold hard facts are Sabian users. It's a good choice. However, it's a Zildjian cymbal with Sabian logos on it. Don't get mad at me for it. Get mad at Robert for not being able to work under his fathers wishes...

  • @VitRadek I understand that a lot of people are under the assumption that because Robert and Armand, had issues working together, Robert went out on his own making "his own" cymbals. LISTEN... Avedis Zildjian III is THE formulator in which BOTH brothers were taught. Example... My Grandmother makes THE best cookies on the planet. My Mom and Aunt use THE same recipe. I happen to like my Mom's because she goes strictly by the recipe. My Aunt adds a few more ingredients. However, it's the same thing

  • @browser293 No.

  • I DON'T CARE WHAT Y'ALL SAY....SABIAN IS WHERE IT'S AT!

  • Hit em!

  • @speart7 Sabian is made by Zildjian. OWNED
