The video shows users to how use kitedrive continous sync as well as workspace on-demand synchronization. kitedrive file synchronization enables business users access to up-to-date enterprise content anytime, anywhere.

Accellion provides flexible file synchronization capabilities, including kitedrive continuous sync and workspace on-demand sync. To use sync, you need access to an Accellion system with sync enabled by your IT administrator.

** INSTALLING KITEDRIVE SYNC

Installing kitedrive sync is simple. An email will be sent by your Accellion administrator that contains installer download links for Windows and Mac. Double click the link and accept the default settings.

** SETTING UP KITEDRIVE SYNC

Once installed, the kitedrive wizard guides you through the setup. Simply click "Get Started." Kitedrive sync continuously synchronizes files across your devices. Enter the sync location and hostname found in your welcome email. Then enter your username and password.

** USING KITEDRIVE SYNC

To sync a file from your computer, open the Sync menu and select "Open Sync Folder." You can drop one file, multiple files, or nested folders and files, into your kitedrive. The files will automatically sync to your kitedrive on Accellion, as show by the notification icon and web interface.

** WORKSPACE SYNC

Now let's learn about on-demand workspace sync. When sync is enabled in shared workspaces, any files that you add will appear on workspace members' computers and across all your devices. Workspace managers can enable file synchronization for new and existing workspaces. To enable sync in new workspaces, from the File Manager tab, click "New Workspace." In step 1, select "Allow Sync."

For existing workspaces, from the Options menu, select "Edit Properties" and "Allow sync." You also have the option to allow sync for nested workspaces.

Once you have added files to sync enabled workspaces, go to the preferences window and select "Sync Now." Files will be synchronized across users and devices.

** ADVANCED OPTIONS

On-demand synchronization includes Selective and Scheduled sync. From the Preferences window, click "Advanced, More Options." By default, all workspaces are selected. Deselect the workspace you do not want synchronized. Then click the checkbox to schedule auto-synchronization. Advanced Options allow you to choose which workspaces to sync, and when to sync them.
