I'm fairly certain it isn't scripted. They sometimes bring up storys that have previously been told, but that's just how conversation works. Ricky and Steve said in an interview that sometimes they prod Karl about stories that he's told them, which is obvious. If they didn't do this, they wouldn't have much to talk about.
We're told it's not scripted, but we can never know for certain. Doesn't matter really, it's hilarious.
