Life With Derek
Season 1 Episode 111: Babe Raider
Offended by the video game Babe Raider, Casey decides to counter the sexist male attitudes in the house by coming up with a set of feminist house rules. Casey is forced to reconsider rule number one of the manifesto when Derek informs her that the object of her affection, Sam, is a major Babe Raider player. Having never played the game, Casey decides to see what all her fuss was about. After some training from Edwin, Casey soon realizes, she loves the game! When Casey appears at school dressed as Babe Raider for her Media Studies presentation on Sexist Video Games and Why They Should Be Banned, Derek accuses her of being a hypocrite. Casey is now forced to decide whether her feelings for the game are being clouded by her feelings for Sam. When Caseys manifesto forces Derek to change his sexist ways, he finds some unexpected benefits.

Enjoy!

  • how this is on disney i do not know

  • Might be one of my favorite episodes. It created a middle ground between Casey and Derek. He didn't quite get his way (not all of it, anyway) and she learned a lesson different than what she was trying to teach.

  • Umm.. i guess this happens in real life.. happens a lot! I behave exactly how casey behaved in this episode. as a hypocrite ~_^

  • Omg so SMALL!

  • @InvaderZima, So you now think that the same opinions being posted by different people makes all of them a collective number of idiots? You are really not making any sense, and quite frankly, I am done wasting my time with you.

  • @crfstewarje My original point being that this is a family-oriented show that didn't censor everything "for the chilluns", everything you've said up to this point is irrelevant. All the examples you gave had absolutely nothing to do with that. And just because a collective number of idiots posts the same opinion over and over again, does not mean that I have to withhold my own words at risk of offending someone. But I'm done with conversing with you, see as its getting me nowhere.

  • @InvaderZima, you missed my point entirely. The shows I mentioned may not be entirely for children, but they do have plenty of inkling to real life. Shows do not have to be promoted towards children to teach morals. As for the "shits and giggles" part, you were obviously agitated at seeing the same opinion repeatedly. This is the internet; you are going to see the same opinion a lot, so deal with it. Let them think what they want to think without getting a fit. Good day sir.

  • @crfstewarje point entirely, I say good day sir.

  • @crfstewarje You know, there's a difference between having an opinion, and saying the first thing that flies out of your ass. That, and I never really told anyone to shut up. My exact words were, "just can it". As in, okay peoples, enough shits and giggles, this is what that is. You're taking this way too personally, and really I can't say you've made much of an impression of me. And FYI, all the shows you just mentioned are not primarily promoted toward *children*. Seeing as you missed my...

  • @InvaderZima, you have a problem with me telling you to shut up, but yet you are the one who is telling others to shut up online because of their "lol, so inappropriate," comments. If you can't handle the opinions of other people that are opposite to your views, then just go in a cave and don't post any longer. Besides, shows like Judge Mathis, Hatchett, and the Cosby show have morals, so you're "inkling to real life" speech doesn't work.
