he seems to be an introvert type of person, and it seems that in late years he turned to be more restrained and mean in showing emotions. His melancholic trait is clearly seen in Richter-Enigma documentary where he seems to be overly exhausted and unsetisfied (maybe even desperate) with himself, but on the other hand he shines enormous modesty and simplicity as an individual, much like a saint man..

im sorry but anyone witnessing the way he walks away from the piano towards the wall then turns round (then does it again) etc can see this is a man who is a child at heart

He would obviously have to be a child at heart, in order to play Mozart in such a heartbreakingly beautiful way...
