Goku's not a common name, it's just that both Goku's, the one in DBZ and the one in Saiyuki are both based on the fable, "Journey to the West". Saiyuki is a bit more real to the story than DBZ but both Goku's are similar and full named "Son Goku"

and btw...he's an amazing Greg impersonator. Had me rolling. :D
