  • i did not know that chest hair even could prevent aniliseing hart rytheme the said noting about that in my training

  • Ouchhhhh

  • @vincemcnam First aid responder, ROFL

  • Look up American Med Supply on YouTube because they are giving away a free AED. All you have to do is enter the drawing, it's that easy. Plus, we are giving away a bunch of other great gifts and prizes all year long. No purchase required.

  • The chest was not hairy try it on chewbakka next time

  • There was hardly enough hair on the chest to shave during AED placement. The whole idea is for VERY hairy chests, not per-pubescent boys.

  • "The AED is only placed on patients in cardiac arrest."

    ha!

  • @2ndAsstJizzMopper

Of course it advised CPR. The AED is only placed on patients in cardiac arrest. It then analyzes the rhythm to determine if it is shockable or not, if not then it advises CPR. The patient in the demonstration was obviously not in a shockable rhythm, so it advises CPR. It does demonstrate that the AED was able to read the rhythm which is what they stated.

As far as the use of AED pads to remove hair, urban legend. If there is too much hair for a good connection, shave it!
