This is the first prototype board, assembled and tested.
I had a few problems (3 in fact), 2 got fixed in code, one required a mod to the board.

This is longer than my other videos as I'm running through it explaining the functions as I go.

  • wonderful!

As to the size, which knobs are you looking at for this? Because I think it'd be quite tricky to fit them and turn them?

  • Actually I wasn't planning on putting knobs on. The pots I used on the strip-board version have a top that feels like a pot, they even have a pointer, so I'm hoping to find a supplier of them again.

  • ah - that makes sense, they looked d-shaft for some reason.

That does however lock people into having to use the exact same ones though - I'd say space the board out some more (if you're still wondering whether or not to do that) so that a more generic knob may be used, and people could put big ol' knobs on. We love that stuff.

  • hehe, they are on here because I couldn't find the splined versions in low quantities.

  • You've done it again Paul! Very very nice! The size of the board is great, not too small but definitely not oversized either. The 2 CC sequencers reminded me of the Elektron gear, have you ever used their kit?

  • I tinkered with a machine drum once about 5 years ago.

It just seemed obvious that people might want to control some CCs.

  • Great size & features, nice presentation.

  • lol that top speed had the sound from that retro invader game

  • Oh my god, it is exactly what i am searching for! So complex yet simple. Reminds me of the old system 55 sequencers from Moog (Just digital)

  • Cool stuff Paul!

    How is the Defender going?

  • Brilliant!

Where do I score a dozen of these?

    =D
