Young Family's Farm First Coast Plein Air Painters paintout (FCPAP) - Gary Ga

Please click on "WATCH IN HIGH QUALITY". Our FCPAP (First Coast Plein Air Painters)August 2, 2008 paintout at the beautiful Young Family's Farm in northeast Jacksonville, just east of the airport. A cloudy day threatening to rain, but stayed dry, wonderful breeze, pertfect temperatures for painting. FGPAP thanks the Young Family: Mom & Dad, Mema, Aunt Karen, Gina & Missy for allowing us the opportunity to paint in such a beautiful location.

My painting this outing is a 22x28 acrylic where I have taped off with a blue painter's tape 1.5" on the edge to leave a "linen look" as the frame I have for it is quite dark. That can make a cheap frame look GREAT!!

Thank you! That butterfly there was amazing. It let me get within inches without interrupting what it was doing... it was such a LONG segment of video, that I broke it up to use as 7 second segways between the individual artists who were participating that day. That was a great place to paint, so much variety... we were even talking about the possibilities of going back there at our last FCPAP paintout on Sept 6. Thanks for watching.

Actually, I had the same idea when shooting it. That butterfly did not mind at all that my camera was just inches away, she just went on about here business... a great little insect actress! Thanks for watching!

Thanks and yes... gotta move the camera. It's hard to judge where I will be exactly, and I was trying to show the view as well.... did neither very well. better luck next time I guess.
