  • @baon2219 Actually, for the first few years of her career, Helena only starred in period dramas - A Pattern of Roses, A Room With A View, Lady Jane, Maurice, this! Also, she doesn't only play wacky characters - she was Enid Blyton in Enid, the Queen Mother in The King's Speech, and the voice of Mother Squirrel in The Gruffalo! She's a very versatile and talented actress!

  • omg is that helena bonham carter, who only plays wacky characters, in a historical romance film?!?! not in a million years would i imagine helena making one of these films. she must of been desperate for work.

  • Movie trailers are always so misleading. Judging from this one, you'd think that Lord Vulcan was prone to treating women "roughly" (to put it delicately) and that dozens of men were wild over Serena. Not so . . .

  • @FlamingCockatiel thanks a lot!

  • @anaarkadievna In some parts the two are very similar, while they diverge in other parts. For example, in the book, Lord Vulcan wins Serena directly from her father, not through Wrotham. Her father gets himself killed in a duel instead of shooting himself. Also, the Joker appears more than once. There are other divergences and convergences, but I don't want to give away the plot of the book. If you can, buy it.

  • I LOVE this movie!!! I have it on dvd and i watch it like 24/7!!! lolz XD Helena is sooo awesome!!!!! She iz my fave actress of all time!! XD

    ♥ HELENA ROX!!! ♥

  • does the book came any closer to the movie, as action i mean? or there are a lot of different scenes?
