Very nice. I'm thinking about doing this to my truck. I spent 200 bucks getting a dual exhaust but one day when my muffler came disconnected I loved the way it sounded open. Jegs sells a cut out thats controlled with a choke cable so you dont have to remove anything and it's not electric which like you said have been known to screw up. The choked controlled one is about 55 bucks and comes cast iron cutout and a 72" cable.

There is a gasket and metal plate that is held on by wing nuts. Just take the wing nuts off and remove the plate and gasket and its open. The three threaded studs in the video are where the wing nuts attach and the plate sits

Hey man. Love the truck. Sounds good. I have a question though (maybe I missed this?). Did you put that cut out before the catalytic converters, or no? In other words, is your exhaust passing through your cats before the leaker? If not, can it be done? Thank you!

no you didn't miss it, we put them after the cats because of where they were located plus we wanted it to stay emissions legal. On this truck, I don't think it would be possible to get them in front of the cats. The cutout is about 12" long and you have to have a straight portion of the exhaust pipe to put it in. On your truck, it may be possible. Hope this helps

I'd get this one because there are no solonoids or motors to break. I have heard really bad things about the quality of the electric ones.
