The gag was inflated slightly, mainly to hold it in place. I have used them in the past, and they can be very effective at blocking the airway. I wish I could use the bags for longer than about 30 seconds. I do not want to leave things too late, pass out, and have no chance of rescue. Maybe I need to team up with a partner, and we agree that it is unscrewed after, say 1 min, or 2 mins.
