@GeneticRealityFilms that is exactaly what my best friend said, he said in basic he and his buddys (which graduated and are now in 11b) would always throw some sort of training grenade behind them to scare them and they would run like girls. i thought it was funny as hell

Fuckin Marines think their so much better they go overseas for not even 6 monthes and they come back pretending they saw real action and cocky, the 2SCR and the 101st Airborne have been over there for years FIGHTING on the frontlines and not just occupying but advancing and taking REAL casualties. These Soldiers are the best and dont let some stupid TV commercial or a Marine ever tell you or even give you the vibe their better than you, because their not. HOOAH!

Dude marines only get 7-8 month deployments. Army gets 15 month deployments! or at least in Afghanistan!

The air force treats you much better then the army. I know b/c I served in both branches !!

how long are army deployments? i know this guys who was in iraq for 12 months later he had to stay for 18 months. fuck that a lifetime !!!!! im gonna check out the marines and see which is better

Any branch can involuntarily extend you on a deployment.

Doing well thanks. He is home safe now and has applied for a job with the Iraq / Afghanistan Veterans Association (IAVA) - it's a non-profit veterans advocacy group.
