edit: for a long time i thought its about the red door. cause der = door and sor=red. but today i found out, that there is a location in northkurdistan called Sorê. And in that case its the Church of Sore, the Curch in Sorê :)

I would like to add something to your comment in the info, did it come up to you, they're actually saying "dêra" as in "dress".

As in, the dress used to fit her when she was a girl, but now she's grown up and is becoming a woman (by marriage) and she's now to big for the dress?

to be honest, im really confused about this song

cause according the dictionry dêr is a church , but also door. (izoli's dictionary). but since its used as dêra (and not dere) it can be only church.

the stuff with dress is completly new to me. do you have any written sources for it? please share it with me

Dêre is used for dress in several parts of North-Kurdistan.

I just looked it up in the dictionary of the Kurdish Institute of Istanbul. One of the Turkish translations is "Fistan", which means "dress". Although the title should be "Dêre yê sor", if it's about a dress, but like we all know, in Kurdish literature, (I'm counting this to oral literature), people tend to forget about correct grammer if they have to make it sound nice.

I always assumed it was about a "dress".
