George Barris also designed other cars:

Among Barris' claims to fame are memorable vehicles like James Dean's Spyder Porsche, the golf-cart-turned prehistoric auto used in "The Flintstones" movie; KITT, David Hasselhoff's talkative Pontiac Firebird TransAm in "Knight Rider"; the Ghostbusters' ECTO-1, and Herman Munster's morbid Munster Koach. He has also designed cars for entertainers, such as a limo for Elvis, and The Monkees' Monkee Mobile.

  • looks too short to me

  • @rocknrolldaddio It was a Lincoln Futura concept car from the late '50's. If you're ever able to see it you'll see that Mr. Barris didn't take it very far from the original, even the bubble roof was Lincoln's own. Not to fault him though, George was reportedly only given about 2 weeks to design and deliver a working vehicle to the set. Now that was genius and creativity all rolled up together.

  • @rocknrolldaddio

batmobile number one was a '55 Lincoln Futura, the remainder cars that Barris built were a '65 Ford Galaxie (Barris currently owns one of the Galaxie's)

  • All of these cars are cool.

I'll take any one of them, but the Batmobile is what I want the most.

Imagine riding down the street in that.

    George Vreeland Hill

  • Barris didnt design the Ecto-1. Sorry guys. he claims it but didnt have anything to do with it. watch the blu-ray and the REAL creators get there credit. Dan Aykroyd was one of them.

  • @rocknrolldaddio It was a concept car by Ford. A 1955 Lincoln Futura

  • Love the Batmobile!!!

  • @4freespeech looks right to me but I ll check my other pics
