lantern dickhead

I would add that some Chinese Lanterns can be massive- people make them at home, enthusiasts and hoaxers both have been known too.
Next time such objects appear, aim to get as much clear footage as possible- follow the flight paths of the items, if possible, and keep a timeline. When did they appear- when did they disappear etc.
If you are up for a challenge, I will be setting off lanterns in Leyland, and keep a diary of when they are set off. See if you can spot and identify them!

Hi John, didn't receive a reply from Leyland guardian so have tried the Lep instead. Have also e-mailed Lancs Police to ask them to confirm/deny that the Police heli was at that location on the date and time in question.

My Girlfriend and I spotted 4 of them at around 22:19 from Boundary St and I managed to film 1 of them. Have also sent e-mail with story to Leyland Guardian. Just about to upload the film.
Thanks for your report.
There are, quite obviously, Chinese Lanterns. The footage in the early part of the video is of lanterns filmed from below, the later part where it is wobbling pretty much confirms it. It would also suggest that you were close to the lanterns. If you are serious about UFOs, then please do understand that I'm not "debunking" you, just offering an explaination. If your looking for attention with the local press etc then I assume this comment will be deleted.
Please respond either way- ta!

Unless you observed them first hand, you are not qualified to state that they are obviously chinese lanterns. I have seen plenty of chinese lanterns and these were definately 100% not lanterns. I don't understand your comments about attention from the local press, they even got the date of the sighting wrong!
Night time video footage is always going to be vague I agree, but all of the eyewitnesses would definately disagree with your lantern hypothesis. Thanks for your input.
