Officer Fortner of the Fayetteville City Police Department was cruising at a high rate of speed w/out lights & sirens when he was flagged by a civilian and told to slow down. Annoyed at this treatment, the officer decides to pull the civilian aside and educate him on how things are done in Fayetteville.

What the officer does not realize is that the civilian is a former police officer and an attorney.

Let's watch what happens.

  • not sure who was at fault here but dude walked with a warning and the number to make a complaint. most cops wouldnt do that much.

  • @vada2000 The officer was at fault. He was reprimanded by his department & an apology issued.

  • What I see is 2 smartasses.

  • @CAPTDASH1 Hi Capt! Bye Capt. (most banned dude on the internet).

And no... I have no interest in meeting you for lunch.

  • @SpermyWormy2: UGH! Maybe if I make it a little more bold for you...A COP RESPONDING TO A COMMERCIAL BURGLARY DOES NOT USE HIS LIGHTS AND SIRENS BECAUSE IT GIVES ADVANCED WARNING FOR THE PERPETRATOR TO ESCAPE ( LIFE NOT IN DANGER, HENCE CAPTURE BEING THE GOAL).

Reticentbadger cited the law concerning the ticket. YOU say what he did was illegal. YOU have the burden of proof to cite the specific law. Do YOU understand such a simple concept as that? (Now THAT was a rhetorical question) Idiot!

  • @traclak9: It's obviously an ill informed opinion. It doesn't help to have those dash cameras if you aren't going to use them completely does it? This is what happens with these kinds of people. They come to a preconceived conclusion about the cops and are too easily directed to go through the fun house door by any fast talking con man showing them exactly what THEY want to see. I am embarrassed to admit that the audio editing evaded me for so long before being advised of it. It is so damning.

  • @GlockMan368 are you saying a fact or giving ur opinion? I dont think that makes much sense. Im pretty sure ive seen videos on tv where the audio is always on. and besides. what about audio for surprises like the ones where people crash into the cop's car? i dunno. doesnt make sense what you said.

  • A very special thanks to my cop friend "Tommy" for noticing the lack of audio for the first 1:13 of this video. He deserves all the credit for enlightening me to this VERY TELLING lack of eidence. After all...I have learned a long time ago, from my father, that "The lack of evidence, frequently, says more than what actually is shown". I feel ashamed that I didn't such a blatantly obvious HOLE in the whole premise of this video.

Again..Thanks "Tommy". Trust your gut, and stay safe.

  • @GlockMan368: You stated "..probably doesn't turn on until the lights come on. Most in-car cameras pull recording 30 sec. prior..."

1)My cop friend said his hard drive stores 45 hours of audio, video, and GPS chronology. It is saved EVERY tour for court appearances and charges of police abuse. I believe him.

    2) How do you explain the FACT that the audio doesn't start until the cop gets all the way up to the car?

    3) A simple websearch found numerous online manuals debunking you.

  • "The first 1:13 has no audio! Interesting that someone would mute the radio communications up until the stop."

The in-car camera audio probably doesn't turn on until the lights come on. Most in-car cameras pull recording 30 seconds prior to the emergency equipment being activated.

  • @boredtodth I don't just believe anyone who posts an EDITED video and states the officer was reprimanded or what not. I am basing my skepticism solely on what the video ACTUALLY SHOWS, and the rules & regs of the many police departments that clearly state the officer is not specifically bound to obey traffic laws while performing duty.

This video is edited for a reason, and titled by someone who clearly has a gripe with police exceptions under the law. I applaud the cop.

  • Seems to me...if the officer was actually en route to an alarm call the department would have vouched for his speed and stoob by the officer. It appears he got called out by a citizen for breaking the law and tried to cover his ass. Power tripping, badge toter...

  • AMAZING:

An observation that is very telling (even though I originally didn't notice it):

The first 1:13 has no audio! Interesting that someone would mute the radio communications up until the stop.

Why would someone go out of their way to mute all of that pertinent information?

Could it be that the cop was going to a call, requiring stealthy approach?

We don't know. We are only given parts of the facts, and told the rest. This is BS!

"Frequently, what is NOT shown says more than what is."

  • Thanks you guys for the thumbs, but it's not necessary. I REALLY appreciate the traffic you have been generating for my site. I have new coupon codes coming out soon. Keep it up and I will have a really cool surprise for all of my buddies.

    Cheerio.

  • thumbs up for prancingdog. 2worm'ssperm is an idiot and cant find the law that says cops are prohibited from speeding while on duty. 2worm'ssperm likes to preach his own ideology as if it were established fact. an ideologue. or a turgid braggart of misinformation.

thumbs up for prancingdog. i agree.
