  • @HungKiet Actually, I would like to add, thank you very much for posting! Your blatant ignorance, your trying to peer pressure me into Christianity, and ignoring my cited arguments without reading the sources I mentioned, all proves every accusation that we Atheists have made against the Catholic myth. You are actually doing our work for us. Thanks!

  • @HungKiet

    Nope. Deal with it.

  • That was quite a motivational speech.

  • @Gogreenfor2010 thats great, what was the turning point?

  • I hope this video inspires many people to come out.

  • @MercuryShining I can think differently, yet I still respect you, I have to admit that I don't have an answer to that question, that is merely a matter of opinion and every one of us has the right to expose and believe a theory. Because this, dear friend, is philosophy, not science, and if you learn something from philosophy, is that one answer can have many right answers ;)

  • @aelix56 This is stupid. Do you realize that by having a different belief than someone, you are implicitly saying that they're wrong? You clearly don't have a firm grasp on the what respect is so I'll tell you: high or special regard; esteem. That does not so much as hint at your idea that I must be deferential to their every belief to respect someone. As far as the facts, the total lack of evidence is evidence of lack.

  • Still trying to figure out the tides.

  • @MercuryShining Yes you have, disrespect his belief and you're actually disrespecting him by actually rendering him as "wrong" or "stupid" or whatever the adjective you wanna use to disqualify his opinion. Also, this is a matter of beliefs, not reason, so you don't even have the "But it is a fact!" value to actually allow yourselve to mock him or disrespect his belief.

  • @aelix56 You do not have to respect every aspect of a person to respect that person, and religious belief (or lack thereof) is merely one aspect of many upon which to base respect. While atheism may be the standard in some Western countries, it is not in the US (where Silverman and his organization are based).

  • @MercuryShining You have to respect an ideology to respect that person. The moment that you either disrespect his beliefs or anything else, you're disrespecting him, so don't start being such a jackass. And that about atheists getting all out of the closet, wtf are you talking about? Nowadays atheism is the ruling belief amongst the majority of the civilized nations, why should you bother to reunite people that doesn't believe in anything if it is not to just tear apart the rest of religions?

  • @aelix56 First of all, respecting Christians is not the same as respecting Christianity. One can respect a person without respecting their ideology. Secondly, Silverman calls it a fight as in we atheists are fighting for equal rights and in defense of a secular government. He literally says in the video that he and his organization are not out to convert anyone to atheism; he's trying to get atheists out of the closet. Did you even watch the video?
