Being gay is NOT a choice : heres why

If people take a second to look at homosexuality like this, many would better understand that it is not a choice. Take a break from your fundamentaist religion and think about this for a second. i am not homosexual but i can see that it is natural and understandable, i hope one day you can too.

nice try man. You really think just because there are negative connotations attached to being gay that people arent going to do it anyway?People smoke, take drugs, get tattoos on their face, piercings etc. despite the negativity they do it anyway. So dont tell me that the negatives are enough to stop a person doing what he wants to do. and those things i mentioned are all choices btw. All behaviors except reflexes are choices, so people choose to lust at inanimate objects, animals, children.

@papertreegun again.. the " tree, kid, animal" argument is moot. two grown consentual people who love each other who happen to be the same sex is completely different than an animal or a child. and you can talk in the face of science all u want, but the more science has looked into this the more they back the genetic occurence. we see it in animals, just like humans. and peircings and tatoos dont make your parents try and kill u, or disown you. they dont get you beaten or killed. different

@raztis1 What does it matter if they are consenting or not, I am simply talking about attraction, people can be attracted to anything they chose to be attracted to I dont see how it is moot. Well show me one article that supports that homosexual is genetic, the last time i checked they said something about exposure to female hormones in the womb could cause a genetically male individual to act gay when he rose to adulthood. Again this is not true in all cases.

@papertreegun there r hundreds of articles and peer reviewed examples showing genetic similarities between gays. heres one article .webmd.com/sex-relationships/n­ews/20050128/is-there-gay-gene one of hundreds. and yes consent is very important.. yes some ppl have issues where they r attracted to say.. children.. but this is illegal because a child isnt old enough to consent. two consenting adults are and if they r gay they should b allowed to be so

@raztis1 Well good you showed me one that indicates that they are similarities in a particular group of gay men. But since this is a behavioral trait and not a physical one i think i need a little more proof, i dunno do you do of any mice experiments that tested this?

@papertreegun they r doing a lot of testing. one on similarities like if one twin is gay their is a very high likelyhood the other will be gay, even if the two arent raised similarly or even in the same family. that, more often than not, gay men tend to have extremely high levels of estrogen and low levels of testosterone. i agree that not every gay man was born gay, maybe one was molested, but more often than not they r born with traits that make them gay, and they cant hep that

@AvalonJoyous666 m glad to help. i was raised neo-christian and hated gays (because i was told they were the devils people, etc.) once i grew up i realized, the church was wrong.. (on most everything) and started realizing if you just take a look at nature, u realize it is a completely natural genetic occurence, like my brown eyes, and sunny disposition, lol. Now i want to work towards informing people of reality, and not fantasy hate novels pushed on us at birth..
