  • With all the lackluster endings in video games. I ALWAYS WANTED A Great ending. Like fire works bikini clad women giving me a trophy maybe some kinda cinematic cut scene like in Ninja gaiden.

  • I love your commentary and videos, but there's a slight disconnect between the 'loli' voice and the fact that you're 20-something and still sound like that.

    I mean, what? O_o?

    Just..odd, that's all.

  • you had me on "last time"...

  • @KurtlesDude I'm only familiar with the Turbografx ports, was there a Wonder Boy game that made it to the Neo under a weird name? Sega games showed up on a lot of systems back then, casting a big net like Hudson was doing back in the late eighties. They were putting out NES games even though the PC Engine was a hit in Japan. It's strange to think a company would do this but in the case of Sega not a lot of money was to be made out of Brazil and Europe. With Wonder Boy, Escape had to do the same.

This arrangement was a fairly common one at the time actually and was often used by developers to get around Nintendo's draconian "you're only allowed to develop games for our system" publishing prerequisite.

This just happens to be the most famous occurance, but Sega actually also did this for the sequel "Wonderboy In Monster Land" which was ported to the Neo-Geo and various other systems simply under the title "Monster land" or an alternate title.

  • Wonder Boy ! :)
