The Pachelbel's Canon chord series used to be very famous in the late 60s with the Pop Tops "Oh Lord Why lord" and the Aphrodite's Child of Demis Roussos with "Rain and Tears" which peaked at #1 in several European countries in Summer 1968.

i write my own tunes on the keyboard, and i do use 3 of the 4 chords in most of my songs. I know it isnt the most original, but it works

For anybody wanting to know the chord progression it is : I - V - VI - IV
Or the chords C - G - Am - F (if in C major) Use this and change to any key you want with this =p
Axis play it in E major however.
