THIS IS PLAYING AT THE CORRECT SPEED AS THE ENTIRE SIDE 2 OF INITIATION WAS SPED UP 1/2 A STEP TO FIT ONTO ONE SIDE OF VINYL AS COMFORTABLY AS POSSIBLE, SLOW IT DOWN A HALF STEP ONE DAY TO LISTEN TO IT AS IT WAS INTENDED. THE GUITAR IS MIXED FURTHER UP IN THE MIX AS WELL AS THE DRUMS BEING MORE PROMINATE.

hate to sound todd stupid , but was the otherside to real man? and i should know !love this albumn .hopeing wont do it ,the 7nth moon wont do it. was prana thee other side of that 45?

@frippstar47 Yes, Real Man was the A side and Prana was the B side. Both songs were re-mixes. I have the Real Man 45 mix up...

Could you flip it over and play Real Man? I remember this mix to sound way different from the album. My sister bought it before Initiation was released which was the custom back then. The break (Some mens world is only hate and money) has a much heavier phase-shift on it, and the overall mix is more present as with Prana. Why don't they put these at the end of the Initiaion CD! Come on Todd!

This is great, I kinda wonder what the LP sounds like, as even sped up, its 36 minutes or somthing - crammed onto a side.

The vinyl LP is very thin sounding. The Rhino CD sounds the best, find one if you can.....

Todd Fans should always listen to EVERY song he made on his first five albums, not including his Utopia releases (but those are good, too). Those are critical to understanding the profound nature of Todd's music and why his musical peers think he is a genius.

@mojorisen74 At nearly 68 minutes it is the longest single-disc-vinyl pop album ever, longer than some two-LP sets even. The dynamic range had to be reduced in order for it to fit onto massed produced vinyl. I have the best recording of it so far, a remastered Japanese CD made in 2008. Even the cassette sounded better than the original vinyl, since the cassette didn't have to sacrifice quality.
