Lauren {The months when by and now only 2 remained of the school year. The project Nathan and I had was due in 2 days and today would be our last day of working on it. I dreaded when night would come and hed leave that meant we'd no longer be friends. After the Mike incident things when back to how they were with Nathan and I, we were great friends working on the project, my stomach filled with butterflies while Im sure he was just seeing me as a friend. Then at school we made no contact with each other. I sighed as I sat in my last class waiting for the bell to ring, wanting nothing more than for our time together to startthough once it started I didnt want it to end
(later at her house)
I paced around the couch, waiting for Nathan, he was suppose to be here an hour agothis was the last day I had with him and now I was afraid I wouldnt have itpart of me was convincing myself it was for the better, though I knew it wasnt true. I sighed, though soon after the sound of the doorbell rang though the house. A smile spread across my face as I hurried to the door, my smile was still present as I opened the door, my eyes first seeing his curly brown hair, then his chocolate brown eyes}
Nathan: Sorry Im latehad to pick this up from home (Holds up his guitar case)
Lauren: (Gives a confused look)
Nathan: You wanted to hear me play remember
Lauren: (Smiles) youre going to play for me
Nathan: If you ever let me inside (Smirks a little)
Lauren: Oh right (moves out of the way so he can come in, after he does, shuts the door behind him) So what are you going to play for me
Nathan: (joking) Geez you cant even wait till I sit down, dont even say hi or want something to drink
Lauren: (rolls her eyes walking towards the couch) Youve been here enough to get it yourself (Sits down laughs a little)
Nathan: (Chuckles slightly, takes a seat next to her, getting his guitar out of its case) So umyeah I wrote this (plays yesterdays feelings (its a song by the usedpretending Nathan wrote it :P)
Lauren: (Smiles as she listens to him, when she finishes her smile remains) That was amazing
Nathan: Come on you dont have to suck up, it wasnt that good
Lauren: Im not, I really liked it
Nathan: (Smirks a little, says jokingly) You better not be lying now, thats one of the commandments
Lauren: (Smiles a little) Im not lying it was great, why cant you just take the complement and say thank you
Nathan: Because I think we already established Im not like everyone else, so why would I say thank you like everyone else does
Lauren (rolls her eyes) youre such a loser
Nathan: Ouch now that hurt
Lauren: (Laughs a little) Awe did I hurt your feelings
Nathan: Yeah actually you did, now you better ask for forgiveness (smirks a little)
Lauren: (mocks him) Well Im not like other Christians so I dont say Im sorry
Nathan: (Holds in a laugh, tries to act gangster) Oh no girl you didnt just go there
Lauren (Laughs the laugh thats in the video. Quickly covers her mouth, blushing brightly)
Nathan: {At the sound of her squeal in her laugh, I couldnt help but bust up laughing. And the blush on her face was just adorable} Wow {was all I could manage to say, I laughed again as her blush became deeper, something I didnt think was possible till the full red came to her face, I set my guitar to the side, and gently removed her hands from her face, she looked down trying to hide the fact she was blushing though Im sure someone could see it from a mile away} He come on, I think it was cute
Lauren (Looks up and smiles a little) Really? I think it sounds so annoying
Nathan: Really {I smiled back at her and we looked in each others eyes for a moment. Then it hit me what I was doing?NO NATHAN STOP. I let go of her hands and looked away, standing up from the couch} um we better get started now {I said avoiding eye contact. What was I thinking? This was our last day, I wasnt suppose to be enjoying this, Id have to break it off tonight Not that I wanted to, I wanted to tell her I loved her, kiss her, have her as minebut I couldnt. there was now why I could ever or would ever deserve her and I knew she would never fill the same.
(Few hours later)
It was almost five, I was watching her type away to finish our paper, I sat next to her staring more at her then what she was typing. I wish time could go back or pause for a bit, five was usually when her dad showed up, meaning I had to leave, cause it was more than obvious he didnt like me. Lauren was caught up in the work, that the sudden sound of her cell phone made her jump, causing me to chuckle lightly}
