The Denver papers reported 152 people were arrested in Denver. There was a heavy police presence and several media were also caught up in this. We're not sure of numbers of media arrested there.

I have been in a few protests in London. I have seen how brutal police can be. I have also seen how brutal police can be in normal social situations.

If you guys were involved in an unlawful protest and you weren't working for a famous news program you are bound to get treated badly. It comes with the territory.

what the government wants is people to be pissed off, this way they can use force to stop them.

what they don't want is peace cuz then there is no one for the police to fight off.

If you look at the people they are yeeling and getting angry for peace. but they don't represent peace, because they represent anger.

for there to be peace we must be peaceful and seek more peaceful situations. peace will not come by being angry and seeking mad situations.

I think we real american should all band together, and overthrow every single state in the country. Then we can start to rebuild our nation. What are they going to do to us? I was there.  There were a few anarchists at the RNC protests, but by and large the protests were peaceful and the cops started firing rubber bullets and shit for no reason. The police were way out of line that week. They were arresting people and making charges up as they went.

The local government made it difficult for protesters to be heard by issuing protest permits. Legislation was put into place that prohibited that march. The cops were being fascist freaks through out the RNC. Do a search for Terrorizing Dissent.
