Ancient hymn of the faith. "There is a Fountain" is performed by Selah. Video clips are from The Passion of the Christ.

[Lyrics]

There is a fountain filled with blood
drawn from Emmanuel's veins;
And sinners plunged beneath that flood
lose all their guilty stains,
lose all their guilty stains,
lose all their guilty stains;
And sinners plunged beneath that flood
lose all their guilty stains.

The dying thief rejoiced to see
that fountain in his day;
And there may I, though vile as he,
wash all my sins away,
wash all my sins away,
wash all my sins away;
And there may I, though vile as he,
wash all my sins away.

E'er since, by faith, I saw the stream
Thy flowing wounds supply,
Redeeming love has been my theme,
and shall be till I die,
and shall be till I die,
and shall be till I die;
Redeeming love has been my theme,
and shall be till I die.

  • Jesus told the thief that today you will be with Me in paradise. Today! Because the thief repented, he was saved into eternal life. So simple. No rituals. the thief saw that Jesus was the LORD. Jesus said " It is finished". He accomplished what God said to pay the penalty for our sins once and for all. The moment we are saved/ redeemed/ justified, we are eternally secure. What a blessing, the ultimate Gift, we could ever receive. Freedom from death and life forever more in Heaven =Jesus

  • (Hebrews 9:14) how much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself unblemished to God, cleanse our consciences from dead works so that we may serve the living God!

  • everyone please pray for me though I got saved back in july I still have some issues i need to work out(lust and laziness being the big ones)

  • @joroma77 I exist because of evolution. I read it in a book. You read your story in a book. And neither of us can prove it.

  • @pauljohn788 True. And of great importance also, is that he did not repent from any sins, but repented towards Jesus. My body will be sinful until it dies (or sleeps) but I try to make an effort to die daily from my wicked desires. But who am I but a hypocrite, right? Someone who knows that there is a God, someone who has seen the power of the name of the Lord, and yet let this world overcome me, in spite of the fact that my sinful life has rendered me depressed, empty and lonely.

  • @Emilaset You would not even exist without his power and ingenuity. The mechanisms of the biological world could not have arisen by blind chance. When you realize that Jesus is the one that makes life possible, you come to the insight that he owns you. He is without sin, and in his kingdom there cannot be any sin. Let the blood of Jesus cover your sins, and give you everlasting life. The wages of sin is death, but he paid your penalty, and gave you hope thru his resurrection..

  • As in the desert, when they struck the rock of Horeb, and waters came gushing out of it, so the living water gushes out of Jesus, the Rock of our salvation, the head cornerstone that the builders rejected. As a shadow of the Gospel, the Great Pyramid of Giza (which never had hieroglyphs in it, with tributes to worldly kings) stands as the Gospel set in stone, lacking a head cornerstone, the spiritual rock which the freemasons seek to replace with their counterfeit.

  • thanks for putting the vid up and have a good christmas and all the best for 2012

  • @TotalDeadEnd Amen, Unmerited, Undeserved. Unearned. Jesus is so amazing.

  • @Emillaset he is beyond description.... absolutely indescribably great.

    he has saved us from a fate worse than death, eternal suffering. saved us from our sin. saved us from ourselves......

  • @browntr95 how great is he? And what has he saved us from?

  • How great is our God! how amazing, that man could attempt to show a world that needs something tangible to see and can yet still not believe... Amen-Let It Be So. He has saved us, payed the debt for us if we would but ask and repent. Oh How GREAT is our God?
