I totally got it when you state that the government is worthless, but the people and the culture of PR is wonderful. I'm in the USA and living the nightmare of a socialist for President and a destroyer of business. It will all be over in 2012, thank God!

The government really does stink, selfish politicians, and the little dirty bohios do look like rat holes, but they do serve some pretty good food. It used to be better though. I think that since some people from another island have come and changed the ingredients, they are not quite our own flavor.

I really don't care if you teach at a University, that does not make you more qualified than someone who was born on the island and has lived there for years. I am a Puerto Rican. What you said is a little offensive to Puerto Ricans despite what you think of the government. I lived in Coamo and my mom still resides there. Then you mention the eateries as rat holes.
