Purchased a flyback off ebay, and a cap kit from twistedquarter.com I installed them both and it seems to have solved my problem of the blacked out screen(knock on wood) I don't want to jinx myself. Anyway it was about 3 hours of my time and $65 including a soldering equipment I had to buy from radio shack. Much cheaper then buying a new monitor. Once again a thanks to anyone who tried to help me out with this. Yourmameman, ctozzi, and adidas1984x. Yourmamemans videos on cap kit, flyback, and the repair of adidas monitor walked me through this. Thanks again guys.

  • hey i see you are very knowdledge with these arcades!...im hoping you could help me out!!...i have mk1 arcade and my dog chew on the hardness of the isolator transformer...i connected all the cables but im having trouble were do these black cables go!!...if you have like a diagram that will be very usefull....any help will be very appreciated....

  • @xxsurcentralxx I really dont know man. the arcade is in storage right now. ask ctozzi123, or yourmkarcadesource.

  • I'm about to change out a flyback transformer, and was wondering what is the "cap kit"? Is that the wiring with the thing siliconed to the back of the monitor? Do you have any advice, such as safety? I read there's a lot of High Voltage working with this thing. As long as the power is off, plug pulled, and exhaust the existing residual voltage off, everything should be fine right??

The Flyback on my television is arching like crazy. It's a goner. Thanks for any advice you could spare.

  • @AfroedNinja just do research and dicharge the monitor properly b4 attempting anything.

  • @bigpete405 Cool, I saw a vid on how to do that. Nice MK machines BTW :)

  • @AfroedNinja thanks

  • Hey,.

If you need help still adjusting blur,.

open the back of the cab. There are several monitor adjustment knobs.

The color knobs (red/blue/white?) will be behind the neck plate.

The other knobs for contrast picture and brightness should be somewhere on the chassis...its all there bro!

  • thanks
