Lions fail to make a buffalo kill during the night, so they're under pressure to feed the pride, especially their cubs.

  • Go throw them some meat, help them out! Don't let them starve

  • @ed2kou1 These lions live in an area with high numbers of prey species so we are sure that they won't actually starve. It is tough watching them struggle but our role is as observers and to meddle in their lives by providing food goes against our code of ethics. We are very proud to bring you the natural world as it actually is rather than in some sugar-coated form.

  • @ed2kou1 I can promise you that these lions made it through these few tough few weeks and came out the other side in good health and with a very strong predation mentality. In fact, the way that they actually survived this year of prey scarcity was by predating on much larger prey than normal. In October we witnessed them killing several elephants which is very unusual behaviour to see in Moremi where water is in such abundance that elephants and Lions very rarely come into close contact.

  • @earthtouch So they survived. Have you seen the movie the Last Lions. I understand nature and all, but if you see something hurt or starving and you know there's no way out for the animal, isn't the humane thing to do is save it. Would you treat a human like that. Animals have feelings too! Lions live longer in captivity then they do in the wild. So people like yourself could help them and transfer them to a zoo. Lions are on the down side, we must do all we can to save the Big Cats

  • @ed2kou1 See this response from our resident ecologist for a true, authorative view on the problems facing the consefvation of these iconic species >>

we are definitely behind conservation in every way which is why we feel it is important to show the natural world as it is without interfering in any way. We think that people may be interfering in the natural world enough already. (cont...)

  • @ed2kou1 If people see the good and the difficult sides of nature and understand how we are impacting this delicate balance more and more, then we hope that they would be able to make more infomed decisions regarding their own impacts. What is the point of saving lions if they only exist in zoos in the end? Isn't that fake conservation to maintain them only for our own egos and to make us feel better about ourselves?

  • @earthtouch They're fine in zoos, as long as they're taken care of. Sounds to me, you're trying to come at this like global warming, blame the humans lol. I gurrantie you, if they could talk they'd rather be in a zoo. Where they're taken care of, don't have to fight for food, or terrority ect.

  • Your channel is really wonderful !! Amazing and beautiful videos.

  • Thank you for sharing. But it's really sad to see the cubs having nothing to eat !!
