  • ...explains why we don't see any here in Australia anymore!

  • Sorry Mate, the reason you don't see them in Oz anymore is that they were just another car to be used, abused and then crushed for scrap back in the 80's.Just about every one of these cars was saved from a similar demise and the owners here have spent WAY too much money restoring them then anyone in Oz would have.My own car was only one more owner away from being crushed,so it's a good thing it came here and is now leading the pampered life.Cheers

  • The only Ute there was a new AU XR6 that was there for testing by Ford.

  • Amazing to see so many coupes over there and staggering to think what a pain in the ass it would be to get parts for a resto in the US! But great to see they have the pampered life and over there they are probably more treasured than here (due to their rarity) Bummer it was raining!

  • Agree totally with you on that aspect, though it still amazes me to see these cars Stateside. A similar thing would have happened with 67-68 fastback 'stangs, though being such a big country the US still has plenty of survivors, not mention dynacorn repro bodyshells-cool! I'm hoping to have my own fastback soon with this strong aussie dollar. How attitudes have changed here though, with rusty stripped-out xa-xc projects now fetching big dollars, look up falcon coupes on ebay.com.au

  • I never would have known that there were so many Aussie beasts in the US, thanks mate.

  • Dude, i dont think i seen any utes there...

  • Looking good Bill!!!
