sad to hear about the death of those people. I will remember that when i visit this wreck next year and pay my respects. Coming from England specifically for this dive and the vandenberg. Great video :)

@collinsworth1982 Late reply, but anyway. Sound waves require a medium to travel through. This is why you don't hear sounds in space. Sounds travel in different pressures of air, depending on the matter around to vibrate through. But being under water, the sound from the bell has even more medium to travel through, making it in fact louder.

Very nice tribute,..being a ex squid myself, I find this way of retirement much more fitting then having her cut up in little pieces. she gave us squids a place to sleep while above the water, now she gives squids a place to live beneath.

For the unintiated who've just found this:
An accident with a flare pistol/gun caused a massive fire below decks which cost over 40 lives of the crew. With lead paint and plastics everywhere most victims suffocated in toxic fumes before burning to unrecognisable corpses.
