Private health insurance is a private tyranny that only exists in United States. It's a rather barbaric system that tells you you're health is only worth what you can afford.
People in United States should get behind, and support, HR 676. If you don't know what it is learn about it! GM & Ford are going bankrupt because of the rising cost of health care. If United States had single-payer system, the companies wouldn't have to worry about it.
i think the government is the one that makes it against the law to drive with out insuance so the government should do away with insurance companies in other words the government should have an agancy the federal auto insuance agancy were you make you insurance payments no more private insuranc companies kind of like the motor vechicle department.
nightengale52 has the right idea!! You're forgetting the real reason people don't have health insurance!! ..budget priorites!! Not only that but all insurance is too high..they are profiteering. NTW: the real problem is the high cost of medicine/health services.
There should be a cap on costs along with national health care. 80% of med students get into the field for the income...that should tell ya somethin'!!
oh come on. if it was taken from their check before taxes, how could they resist?? The insurance plan would be OPTIONAL!! But you know what??? The ones who didn't take the insurance would be the first ones to bitch when their car breaks down and they can't affford to fix it!!! The dealerships sell an extended warranty!!!! This is similar ya know!!!
good ideal...my coworker has 2 kids that need to goto school every day and has been having trouble with her car and this sounds like a good idea...she wants to go to work but can't get there because of her car and she is truely needed at work...why not pay for productivity???
This isn't a new idea, you are just talking about an extended warranty. Here is what you should do with your idea, start your own company that sells this type of warranty and try to get some dealerships to offer it on new car sales (send them a size able kickback and they will listen.) You will also need to find car repair/ service stations that will accept your warranty (problem also solved: kick back) If you want to do it, let me know, i could help
there must be a way to make it work. Insurance companies don´t want our health. They just want our money. But they "live" because of us, because our "payments", so we really have the power to decide what we want to receive for our money. We have to pressure them to create the new insurance products that really satisfy our needs. It's not impossible !
I'm in the insurance business...good idea but it would be very hard to market. It took the governments intervention forcing people to purchace auto insurance. There is also something similar to what you are talking about called an extended warranty up to 100,000miles that most people do not buy even if it is rolled into the monthly payment. It would take a large corporation a large sum of money to get this off to a start. Good luck.
One payer system is the only way to go.
