In her very first film, Lizabeth Scott sings the hit song "You Came Along" to Mr. B (Don DeFore). Ayn Rand wrote the screenplay, Hal Wallis produced and Bob Cummings was the male lead.

  • Beautiful voice, she is elegant.

  • PLEASE put this movie back on youtube!!

  • She was/is underrated, indeed, which is really a pity! Thanks for posting!

  • THANKS for sharing this! I've had a crush on the lovely & talented Lizabeth Scott for the longest time. What an underated & underused performer. And she could sing too! Funny....I"ve never even heard of this movie before now. Absolutely fascinating footage! :)

  • I recently discovered Lizabeth Scott from the movie "The strange love of Martha Ivers" starring Barbara Stanwyck ,what a movie !! Sad and intense .I thought Lizabeth Scott was beautiful .Anyways I had never heard her sing until now and I love her voice.I recently aquired an actual film (16 mm) of "You came along' and can hardly wait to watch it on a screen in my living room. Thanks for posting this!!

  • Picklepuss, you did an EXPERT editing job, kudos! I love Liz Scott, and I love her rendiotion of this song. Bless her heart, she's alive and well, living up in the Hollywood hills.

  • You are only supposing about Kate's preferences, and there's no evidence. By the way, you even misspelled her first name.

  • I really liked her as well. She didn't the great roles an actor needs to get an Oscar. It is interesting that Katherine Hepburn did. I never cared for her. Odd that Lizabeth was ostracized because of her homosexuality but Katherine Hepburn was not.

  • I first saw her in a movie with Elvis, Loving You I think it was. What a lady!!

  • one of the most fascinating actresses of the forties, what a voice...
