The Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF) has challenged the constitutionality of the FISA Amendments Act of 2008, which granted retroactive immunity to telecoms participating in the illegal wiretapping program.

The constitutional challenge is set to be heard on December 2, 2008.

Stuff for conspiracists: Judge John M. Walker (2nd Court of Appeals), a cousin of George H.W. Bush, formed part of the Court that upholded the convictions in '93 Trade Center Bombing.

Casually and tragically, on October 2006, J. M. Walker drove in and killed a police officer directing traffic at a road construction site for AT&T.

The FISA -Amendments Act of 2008- grants retroactive immunity to the telecoms, and allows NSA to conduct surveillance for up to one week without a warrant.

We'll have to wait for two resolutions to see how the police-state unfolds: Hepting vs AT and Al-Haramain vs Bush. Both lawsuits have been appealed to the 9th Circuit in SF, where they await a decision, the District Court rejected the federal government motion to dismiss the cases.

Every US soldier knows that during wartime phone conversations are monitored.

What? You mean to tell me that dangerous plans by the enemy can't be cloaked in a 'pillow talk' conversation?

James Bamford makes it sound as if the NSA is listening for prurient reasons which is far from the truth. I wouldn't buy Bamfords book based on this video.

Whistle blowers? I doubt that the two people are working for the NSA now.

ABC you have it wrong. Poor reporting.
General Hayden has it right.
