  • Isentropic in the UK is doing something even more interesting, storing energy as heat in gravel! Tough to get the efficiency up, but those Cambridge boys have as good a chance to do it as any

  • Nonetheless, something needs to be done about the grid stability problems. For as long as we keep incentivizing renewables, we're going to keep getting brownouts unless we can balance the grid.

  • And why hasn't anyone else thought of doing this for energy storage already?

  • Also, won't it rust, or freeze?

  • People have been working on compressed air for more than a century. Adding water to improve the efficiency back in 1870! It was abandoned because of technical problems. What makes here think anything has changed since then?

  • and Bharat Raj Singh and Onkar Singh made air power concept. so Danielle's isn't totally new -- why aren't indian on Forbes list?

  • even earlier Arshdeep Singh made an air power moped...

  • Tathagat Avatar Tulsi is even more prodigy... he topped college at 10 and earned masters at 12!!

  • also Vinod Khosla Lightsail's funder is indian!

  • also the great famous company Tata in India is making air car... why did Danielle and LightSail stop making air car?? I want one
