Follow the tutorial, if you still don't get it after that, click help, and if so, you need help!
Encoders:
FFDShow - It's free and they release one every week or two, plus it has plenty of formats and encoding options, just choose a format and choose your bitrate (Higher = better quality and bigger size, lower is the opposite)

Xvid Mpeg-4 Codec - Also free, Has a bitrate calculator, Has both quantanizer and bitrate (click the box that says target quantanizer or target birate to switch), in target quantanizer 1 is the highest quality, 31 is the lowest, in target bitrate the higher the better and larger size.

Divx 6: Comes in a trial, has the divx community codec which is free, and the pro codec with a trial. If set to a moderate bitrate, and set to realtime encoding, and set to optimized for speed, is far less intensive than fraps, the video files have good quality, and aren't HUGE.

Full Frames (Uncompressed)[Included with hypercam]: Takes a lot of space, is less intensive than Fraps, yet takes a hell of a lot of room, use only if your playing a game that uses nearly all of your CPU and you can't spare much for video encoding.

  • does this work in games too?

  • @mankaran321 Of course, it's all I pretty much used. It's useful for any game you can *window* because otherwise to capture full screen you need to completely nullify any display hardware acceleration. Fraps is useful for full-screen games, but Hypercam has better performance often times with uncompressed RGB or MJPEG. If you have a lot of hard drive space to spare, record lossless and then encode to a very efficient lossy format. I only really recommend x264 for H.264 and XviD/DivX for Mpeg-4

  • lol wtf? my avg find virus on it lol

  • @mant3lis5672 Just use the hyperionics website. They have updated versions of HC2.

  • how do you make the frame not move?

  • lol igot it from other site

  • @fbendz I managed it myself. I installed the 32-bit version of ffdshow and then re-installed the 64-bit version. Now it's available in Hypercam.

  • How do you make the codecs appear in HyperCam? I'm running Windows 7, 64 bit and I have ffdshow installed. However, I can't select it in Hypercam. What do I need to do to be able to select it? Any idea?

  • You are funny at 3:11 :DDDDDDDDDDDD "what the hell are you doing"

    :D
