The "Bull Ring"

The Bull Ring in Devonport is named I guess because of its shape and the fact that when you pass through it or live in it you "run the gauntlet" ? The blocks of flats are actually Ker Street and Monument Street but everyone localy just calls it "The Bull Ring"

There are only a few people still living in it now as it is being pulled down later in the year. Week by week people are being relocated so soon the whole place will be empty and ready to be pulled down.

Although the blocks are run down and well past there best the place still holds a special place in the hearts of many a Devonport residents, some bad, some good. Once the place is gone all that will be left is the memories and the chance of hopefully a better start some where else.

i just wanted to capture this unique part of Devonport before it was too late. Enjoy.....
