OMG.. THANK YOU THANK YOU FOR POSTING THIS. I thought I would NEVER see this. What a treasure, and I was not disappointed at all. She is so gorgeous in color and in1928 she was such a major super star#1 at the box office. This confirms why she was a super star and so popular. A natural, sexy, and down to earth young woman.

Do you also have the remaining fragments of "The Way Of All Flesh" with Emil Jannings? I saw them once many years ago in some film biography on TV, and have been unable to find them since.

Classic Clara ... wonderful upload.

On TCM, you must be joking, or the US TCM is different....Oh yes I remember TCM charge the UK viewer but do not show the US output. The worst grossly miss run TV channel ever...

I uploaded a scene from one of the 2 missing reels from Black oxen (1923)
George Eastman House restored the movie recently,..still 1 reel missing.....

I've got every available film Clara made. But it seems to me that she was at her peak in 1928 when these lost films were made. These fragments makes me wish I could see the complete films even more. Seeing Clara in color was amazing! Thanks for posting.

The color footage reminds me so much of Marilyn Monroe... Interesting that movie sex symbols that really hit the nail on the head all seem to have something in common... A childlike quality, a joy for life, and an expessiveness that is non-pareil!

This is a REVELATION!! So wonderful to even be ABLE to see what are just pieces of these lost films... and that INCREDIBLE color footage of her that I've often read about (the only time she was ever photographed in color)... and here it is!!... (Oh, I think I need a paper bag to breathe in!)...
Thank you SO SO much for posting this!! WOWEE-WOW-WOW!! Or as Clara herself once said in "The Saturday Night Kid", "Isn't it a 'wham'?!"
The actor at the 3:56 mark is the first Harrison Ford. No relation to the present day actor Harrison Ford, but the first star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame belonged to the silent film actor. A few years ago they added another one for the current actor with the same name.
