Actually the manual that's provided with a new P3AT shows pin being removed with a live round ,Badge,I agree with you however that this is just begging for a mishap! Anyway Cutlerylover best vid I've seen on disassembly of this pistol,keep up the good work and thank you now I know how to do it.

@lisapizza8 been there, done that too. Both thumbs on same side of the gun pointed down range. I learned that lesson from the doctor while he stitched me up.
About a $600 lesson.

pretty much, long double action...the only real safeties on the gun is to ptrevenmt it from firing if dropped...

Thank you for posting this video. It was a great help. Kel-Tec's instructions are a little vague. After watching this, I had no issues breaking it down and felt comfortable in doing so.
