"so i killed this animal when i was five, but it wasn't needless because i had been instructed to do so......sorry, i had been instructed so to do. beh-ah-hah"
I'm unsure if you're just taking piss or you stupidly think (oops, think stupidly) that the point of my comment was to assert that a hypothetical slaughter supports my view that laughter is an indication of humour. Knowing you, it's likely to be the latter. In which case, I'll say that nobody is astronomically stupid enough to consider laughter, regardless of being forced or not, as an indication of losing your temper, perhaps a different form of 'mad', yes.
I don't think you've taken exception with 'needlessly killing...' for seeing it as a split infinitive, probably because you consider its usage as redundant because killing animals is needless. Likelihood aside, an animal could be killed by a child out of self-defence or because they've been instructed to do so.
Okay then... retype the first part of your comment so it reads as 'mercdrivel 'put plainly...' it then sounds like I literally put the word 'plainly'.
drivel "pointed something out", therefore it is correct.
it doesn't take much to get him to lose his rag, which is indicated as effectively by going "beh-ah-eh" as going "how many more fucking times (boo hoo)"
Not this 'quote a split infinite' approach again. How many more fucking times? (see, that's a sign of losing my temper, not laugher) I pointed out that split infinitives are debatable. The reverse way 'put plainly' reads like the action, i.e. put, is centered on the word 'plainly', in the same context as 'i want you to put 'plainly' instead of 'planely'. Yes, I know quotation marks make a difference in that example. I dislike how it reads hence 'plainly put'.
mercdrivel "plainly put" something about "needlessly killing several animals" to prove that writing "beh-ah-hah" is an indication of a sense of humour.
I've never known anyone to think of laughter as a way to veil anger. Going by your logic, children that needlessly kill several animals won't more than likely become psychos when they become older, no, it's an indication that they have the desire to become a vet or it's a sign that they may be a future professor of biology. What a massive cunt.
