Horrible...poor things.  I'd like to have a pet pig. That'd be nice. So easy to house train, them being more intelligent than a dog. Would make a nice pet, a small breed, I think.

this is what I want to see happening to pigs since I can't get any to treat like shit myself I watch them being beaten and these people don't do a good job at it I mean how come nobody ever smashes their noses in of cuts the sows tail off during nursing kill half her piglets in front of her for three weeks so she can smell her own babies decomposing and she's so stupid and slutty and fat she'll probably eat them I mean I would not feed her so what could she do pigs are worthless animals

I'm a Vet student at university currently undertaking a study on pig management. I agree that these pens are grossly overstocked and its pretty evident that this is a poorly managed farm, but this in no way reflects the majority of the pig industry, in Australia at least. Pigs usually kept in a relatively clean environment and if managed properly can lead quite a happy life psychologically, despite the fact their purpose is for slaughter.
