NOTE: I meant strong but chubby (I didn't mean to say I particularly liked being chubby, lol).

This isn't super inspiring or anything, but I thought it might do some good. I didn't really manage the 9th one so this is only 8 1/2 chinups. I started by doing as many chinups as I could do (1-2) and then doing sets of 12 negatives 2-3 times through. Your hands/arms can shake so much after you're through!

Anyhow, no thinspo here, just strongspo ;)

  • Wow, that's really hard on such a doorpost! How many space do you have for your fingers? You have an excellent form too, going all the way down after every pullup! I will follow your progress, you will get to 8 again!

    And how about pushups? Are you good at that too?

  • They are very thick doorframes, there's just over 1.5" on there. I used to be able to do 40 pushups in a row, but I can't do even 15 now! I'd be surprised if I could do 10. Man..I'm getting out of shape! The last workout was a big disaster because my arms were still sore - I couldn't do one pull up! So I'm changing to lower intensity, higher volume and frequency. Thanks a lot for the comment on the form :D

  • chinups is all about body weight, i have an asian friend who is 5'6 never trains and weighs like 7 stone and he can do shitloads but i also have a 6'2 mate who works all the time and is quite lean but he weighs 12 stone and he cant do anymore than 5

  • Doorway bars cant give way,the steel is too thick,They have a screw thread in the middle that adjusts to the width of the door frame,then a couple of screws on each side go deep into the wood,unless the wood is rotten it just cant slip(or you could be an elephant!)

  • Close grip underarm pullups are nice, But for real lat action buy a bar and go for wide grip pullups to the back of the neck,then start adding weights to your belt when you get to over 20 reps. Try the pullups with Your legs raised for added fun!

  • great job good for you most of the girls cant do even 1 pull up show us your muscles

  • Seriously, get a bar, they are not expensive at all and you'll have great fun
