@gome5000 Drummer from Battles and Tomahawk does the same thing. It's usually done to keep yourself from overusing the crash.

Nikki's stage presence in this makes me so happy! She often looks a little awkward and shy but she really lets go in this video. Especially at the end.

@gome5000 I looked that up cuz I was inerested too. This is what he said in an interview: "That’s just the my own little style. It kind of happened over the years and it got higher and higher, and eventually it got a little bit of novelty. Any little bit of attention it can bring to me as a drummer is alright too."

@fstrokes exactly..both totally amazing bands & as in "whose better?" that question will always ultimately come down to personal preference...one of the most underated bands out there right now, not opinion..FACT..but im with ya! glad we hace both!!!
