the emerging church scares me. they believe in the destruction of the church, there is new age in it, and there are socialist views embedded in it. post modernism is not in the bible, and you go against the bible you are denying the trinity. a lot of these emerging "pastors" if you can call them that, are merely going against the normal church. this is a heresy. if they dont preach the bible and repentance, and they lack knowledge of the bible, that is a problem right there. a cult denies bible

Hell enlargeth itself because of the broad way

@EasyBozit I would agree with you HOWEVER, you must take how "Evangelicals", "Christians", "Catholics", etc. have carried out what they have felt was God's Will throughout history. THAT is what makes religion messy.
It is also good to question how one is being taught. Ex: People LOVE to use Deuteronomy against gays. However if we are to follow this completely, you must also follow the rest of those set rules. You can't just nit pick. You must also be aware the authors of the Bible were HUMAN.

@MrPaul1872 That what the Jews said about Jesus. Lol.

Want Truth? Read " New Evangelism" By Paul Smith.

. For any emerging church pastor read 2corinthians ch.3+4. also, read the book of Jude, its the1 page book before revalations. The gospel is what should be preached and taught. how can u discuss jesus and what he wants if u dont know the gospel. there is no broad meaning to it. honestly there should only be one question, and that,s 'what must i do to be saved'.

@pdxpaul1 God is not the Bible but it is the closest we get to hearing directly from God. It can definitely become an idol but it should be very important in knowing more about God.
This is not Christianity. This is pure idolatry. These people think they can please God with their own inventions, instead of worshipping Him they way He has prescribed in His Word. Also, this 'worship' seems more about "Me" than "God".
Absolutely sick.....

Somewhere during the Nineteen-Sixties, through the Seventies and Eighties, all of this eclectic blend of weirdness came to be known as "The New Age Movement". Now people call it "Emerging" or "Emergent" Church, "Universalism", "Panentheism". Whatever, dudes! We can repackage compromise however we want, but the pathway of righteousness IS narrow, and here are few who find it. The fact that hypocrisy and judgmentalism are reprehensible, does not validate or endorse all-doctrine inclusivity.
