I worked my butt off on this for 2 weeks, although I think it sucks. Sorry for the uglyness of it, I'm still stuck with WMM so sorry. xP
Major AU Brucas. Basically, Lucas and Brooke were best friends since day one pretty much, and Luke was in love with Brooke since they were ten. Brooke doesn't catch on at first but eventually she realizes she's in love with her best friend, at least, that's what she thought. They moved fast, and Brooke ended up pregnant, and a couple months before their son was born Luke proposed and Brooke accepted. But then Brooke started thinking too much, and after their son was born, she called the engagement off. [Not shown.]
5 year later, their son Hayden is grown up and he wants nothing more than to see his parents back together.
This just shows the struggle Brooke faces in wanting to let go, but finding out that she just might be in love with the man that had been her best friend before she ruined everything.
And then finally, after talking to Hayden, everything clicked and she found the box of trinkets that she'd kept from their short lived relationship. She returns it to Luke and after a long schpeel about how she was sorry, and she felt she didn't deserve anything he had given her, they reunited and Brooke shares her true feelings.
The wedding from 5 years ago is back on, but when Brooke starts thinking too much again, and all those faces are staring at her, will history repeat itself?
