@Piccolist13 Yeah (: Our director didn't want to do piccolo b/c there were a few issues with one of the players who went a little crazy and threatened to kill me for the thing. So he just left it flute haha. But I did good (: And so did you

We will all ALWAYS thing our ensemble played a song better.. It's the pride that we have and confidence we have in what we do... YES there were mistakes.. but we aren't the Boston Pops.. we were a high school symphonic orchestra. Look past the mistakes, and appreciate it for what it is. Raw, undeveloped talent, performing a beautiful song. AS FOR THE SOUNDS... they are supposed to sound like that .. it's a hymn... The national hymn. but i digress.

To all those saying that this doesn't sound good, take into consideration that half of this ensemble was made of freshman and sophomores in high school who hadn't grown as musicians.. They were untrained, just doing what they learned in middle school.. to come into high school and be challenged to play a piece of music on this level is HUGE. And I think that we happened to do extremely well considering the time we actually spent as an entire ensemble rehearsing the music.

That was me playing.. There aren't 2 flute solo's it's a flute solo and a piccolo solo in this version at least. Good luck!

Played percusssion lead on this back in 1990. Still a great song. This group needs some work though.
