I would have to hear the youtube racist remarks to determine if he is racist. But weather he is racist or not, that is irrelevant. The police never should have arrested him on his own property. I have read the police reports. Gates did come out of the house yelling. But he was still on his porch. The policeman had to climb back up on the porch to arrest him. All the policeman needed to do is just walk away and leave and the incident would have been over.
