Hiya - no, not reached the end quite yet. I had my final consultation today and surgeon is happy (see my blogs btw - video diaries before and after op)

Swelling is likely to stick around for a few months, but i can already tell I have more mobility in my big toes than before.

I had bunions (inherited) from a very early age, and the last 5 years in particular the pain of them increased - so post-op short term pain vs. 20 years of pain... I know which one wins :) x

10x 4 this encouraging reply! im still wondering whether you already experience improvements in comparison with your state and pain before the operation or is it still very "unstable" (for a lack of a better expression) and not yet totally healed so it still hurts etc. can you already step on your feet normally at all or not quite yet? :)

It's the 6 week mark now - and healing brilliantly! Absolutely no regrets at all :)

I wanna get rid of my bunions but the doc said I was too young... and I have to wait.. -.-

But if I ever do get it I wanna watch :P

... I should add, I'm having the Austin procedure - the incision isn't on the top of the foot, but on the side, meaning the scar won't really be visible.
