It's 80 degrees out today and getting hotter so I thought I would take my RES out to get a feel for the summer noises for the first time. I've really been wanting to build an outdoor pond for her because she is outgrowing her tank VERY quickly. I'm not sure which would be more expensive, buying a bigger tank and trying to fit it some where in my room or buying things to make a pond outside. Any advice if you've had or are having this problem?

  • Thats a big turtle. You should go with the outdoor pond for summer time, and indoor tank when its cold. If you want something cheap and are going for homemade design, just buy alarge rubber tub from home depot or a hardware store, and work out a way to incoorporate a big filter and possibly an above tank cage so predators aren't able to get in, or just provide some kind of turtle shelter underwater they can hide in.
